Spring Festival: Hop & Shop

Jump over to Belleview Park on March 23rd to celebrate the beginning of spring! Attendees will enjoy shopping from local vendors, arts and crafts, food trucks and so much more. The event runs from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and there will be an egg hunt for the little ones 8 and under at 11:00 AM on the dot. There will also be a Sensory Friendly Hunt that is open to all ages, allowing everyone to enjoy this springtime activity. This event is free and everyone is invited — so bring your friends, family, and neighbors along. Get ready to dance to the sounds of the onsite DJ spinning tunes to keep the spring energy high.

Spring Equinox Celebration

The Spring Equinox Celebration will be hosted by Second Star at the Right Bookstore on March 17th, 2024. The event runs from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and continues the springtime celebration series with local author, Nyasha Williams. There will be oracle readings from Tori Rerick available for purchase, as well as crafting opportunities such as terrariums and teacup candles. Love to garden? Opt for the painted clay pots that make for the perfect addition to your blooming springtime garden. Second Star to the Right is an independent and women-owned bookstore in Denver catering to younger readers, with an array of toys, events, and of course — plenty of books to keep curious minds busy.

Hello Spring Pop-Up

Over 20 vendors will attend the Hello Spring Pop-Up at Denver’s Gypsy House Cafe, so swing by for a fun afternoon of shopping in an inclusive and fun space. Some of the vendors in attendance include Healing Ink, CityScape Knits, No Loose Ends, MSC Creations and Design, and TLC Sourdough. Gypsy Rose Cafe is a local coffee shop, with a relaxed artistic atmosphere that’s perfect for studying, working remotely, or socializing. Aside from their diverse menu options of coffee and tea, there is also a selection of Mediterranean dishes available to patrons.

Body Mind Spirit Celebration

The Body Mind Spirit Celebration will be hosted in Denver across a span of three days, from March 15th through the 17th. Anybody interested in learning more about the holistic lifestyle will have the opportunity to experience this legendary Denver celebration at the Crowne Plaza Denver Airport Convention Center. There will be 255 booths and a whopping 75 performers and 110 psychics and healers. This celebration travels the country, including stops in Sacramento, Pittsburgh, and Virginia Beach. Tickets begin at $10 and can be purchased via the Body Mind Spirit website. The theme of 2024 is “Forest of Enchantment” and attendees are encouraged to experience the event with four stages of presentations from some of the country’s top holistic thinkers.

Colorado Children’s Chorale: 50 Years of Brilliance

On April 20th, the Colorado Children’s Chorale is excited to present 50 Years of Brilliance. Hosted at the Boettcher Concert Hall, this is an exciting spring event to bring the entire family to. Doors open at noon and the performance is set to begin at 1:00 PM. Chorale favorites include “The Trail” by alumni Aron Accurso and Adam Overett and a medley from “Matilda: Musical” specifically arranged by Gary Fry. The event will be a touching tribute to the past five decades, as the chorale celebrates alumni, parents, and all of the friends and family who have made each performance possible.
PRO Tip: The 50th Anniversary Gala will be held after the event at the Seawell Grand Ballroom, consisting of a silent and live auction, dinner, tributes, and plenty of entertainment.

Quinceañera Fest

The second annual Quinceañera Fest Spring Fundraiser is hosted by Ivan’s Crib and will be held on March 24th from 12:00 PM To 6:00 PM. Join the celebration of culture and tradition in nearby Aurora. The event is perfect for families looking to create the dream Quinceañera experience for their daughters. The fest unites the Hispanic community in a day of entertainment, party ideas, and even exciting door prize giveaways. Denver Spring and Summer 2024

Held at the National Western Complex in Denver, this springtime shopping extravaganza helps area families say “yes” to all types of deals for their little ones. Prices at this event typically range from 50 to 90 percent off of retail and purchases help to support local families. Items include clothing, spanning sizes from 0 to 18, as well as shoes, toys, books, puzzles, furniture, and even travel essentials. Expecting mothers can shop for maternity items and room decor for the newest member of their family. Free general admission begins on April 11th at 9:00 AM and continues through Sunday, April 14th.

Holi: Festival of Colors

Holi is an all-ages Bollywood party at Paradise Tavern in nearby Lone Tree. This Spring Festival Desi party will feature DJ Prashant and guests are encouraged to dress in white so that the array of colors can be beautifully adorned over guests. On March 24th, bring your friends and family out to Paradise Tavern and celebrate this culturally significant Hindu party best described as the festival of colors, love, and spring! Get ready to dance and enjoy performances and the Holi color throw.

Spring Craft Bazaar

The Highlands Ranch Community Association is excited to announce the Spring Craft Bazaar. This one-of-a-kind marketplace will feature over 100 vendors, selling an array of handmade, unique, and local items that make great home decor and gifts. Browse the marketplace and admire photography, original artwork, sculptures, ceramic creations, gourmet food options, jewelry, and precious gems. The bazaar will be held at the Eastridge Recreation Center and admission is free and open to the general public.
PRO Tip: Can’t make it out on March 16th? Keep an eye out for other upcoming events, such as Cold Case & Cocktails, Coffee with a Cop, and the Pottery Sale on May 6th at the Southridge Rec Center.

Spring Break at Colorado Railroad Museum

If you’re looking for a place to drop the kids off this spring break, consider the Colorado Railroad Museum! Little ones can enjoy train rides, pop-up exhibits, craft projects, reenactments, and a range of other specialty activities and child-friendly demonstrations. The activities kick off on March 19th and run through the 22nd from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Train rides are scheduled to depart every half hour and remember, train ride seating is limited to reserve your spot ASAP!
PRO Tip: Admission to the museum is $10 for adults and $5 for kiddos between 2 and 17. If you and your family are members of the museum, admission is free!

Collaboration Fest Denver

Collaboration Fest is headed back to Denver on March 30th, 2024! Hosted at the Westin in Westminster, Colorado’s brewers are excited to create new and exclusive beers that can only be sampled at the festival. Craft beer lovers will want to grab their tickets so they can embark on the ultimate Mile High City experience this spring. Participating vendors and sponsors include Hopsteiner, Molly’s Spirits, Flatirons Soap Works, Root Shoot Malting, and Propagate. Want to know if your favorite brewery will be in attendance? A few of the popular names include New Terrain, Urban Animal, Left Hand, Beyond the Mountain, and Two22 Brew.
PRO Tip: Early entry tickets begin at $85 and general admission is priced at $65. Designate a driver in your group and they can enjoy everything but the beer for $40!

Parent/Child Spring Fly Fishing Class

Shredder Fly Fishing is excited to host five weekly sessions where parents and children can learn fly fishing basics. This family-friendly activity is a great way to get outside and enjoy a new hobby with the little ones. The spring classes are designated to suit ages 3-10 and at least one parent. Each week will feature the following: an intro to fly fishing gear, the basic casting techniques, how to choose the appropriate flies, tying basic fishing knots, and how to target fish. The spring session runs from April 21st, 2024 through May 19th, 2024 with a make up class on Saturday, May 25th.
PRO Tip: No gear or experience is required. Fishing rods, reels, and lines will be provided for both the child and the adult.

Spring (Break) into Adventure!

Belmar Library is excited to host a week’s worth of fun and imaginative activities for the kiddos. Beginning on March 18th, the adventure begins. Children are invited to travel to distant lands with crafts and games. Each day is themed, with fun activities like Beach in a Bottle, Fantastical Fairy Garden, Popsicle Stick Boat Race, and Treasure Hunt. Friday, March 22nd is the movie day and kiddos can enjoy a relaxing afternoon of watching The Rescuers Down Under. Each day begins at 1:00 PM and wraps up by 3:00 PM, giving parents a break in the afternoon while still allowing families plenty of free time for spring break activities!
PRO Tip: Belmar Library hosts a range of other events throughout the year, including kids’ writing groups, baby time, a Spanish conversation table, and more! Check the calendar to stay up to date with what’s going on.

Spring Break Youth Pottery

This spring, Ceramics in the City is excited to host their spring break pottery course. From 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, children aged 10 to 13 will be able to create something on the wheel. Friendly and experienced staff will be available to help students design their masterpiece. Classes are priced at $120 and include everything your child needs to be successful. The best part? Staff will take care of firing and glazing! Families can come back at a later date to pick up the commemorative piece. This pottery class is a great way for kiddos to pick up a new skill, make new friends, and bring home a beautiful piece of art.
